Re-discover the ties that bind

We love our kids and would do almost anything for them. But modern life has us competing with time constraints, technology, and other people's values. As parents, we worry about many things. These stresses about our children can be all-consuming, depriving us of sleep.

Specialists and psychologists agree that the most important factor in raising our children is the quality of our relationships. Bruce Perry, child psychologist, and trauma specialist states that “Relationships are the agents of change, and the most powerful therapy is human love.”

In our effort to do what's best, we damage our relationships. It seems that we are often at odds with our kids, resorting to threats, punishments, and yelling.

Reconnect

Parenting is both the most difficult and most rewarding job in the world. And just when you think you have it all figured out, you are thrown a curve ball.

  • Your once easy-going little darling has turned into a demanding, surly,  and unreasonable pain. Your life together feels like one big argument.

  • Your social butterfly enters middle school and becomes a shrinking violet, unable to make a friend or a decision. And you don't know how to help her.

  • You used to be so close. But now you're having a hard time getting his attention at all. Computer, phone, video games, snap chat have taken precedence over all else.

  • Tantrums, meltdowns, disrespect, and disregard. There is constant yelling. Your patience is stretched to the max. You are worn down and worn out. It’s exhausting.

The UNPLUG &  Reconnect Retreat

is an opportunity to leave the daily grind and take time to focus on family relationships.

Step away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Enjoy the life-changing, family shaping activities designed to strengthen the bonds and alleviate the stresses of modern family life. You'll get away and have fun. You'll also be guided through activities that will change the dynamics and bring your family closer.

Far more than a vacation, a retreat offers us time to ourselves to rest, heal, reflect, and renew our spirit.  We emerge renewed, refreshed, and ready to return to our everyday lives with a new perspective.  .

'Making the decision to have a child - it is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body. '  ~Elizabeth Stone
